Why I am "leaving" AC

I though it about time to explain this. First of all, no, I am not actually leaving AC. Let me get that out of the way. This has been a wonderful place to hang out over the past four and a half years, and it has helped me in so many ways, both from getting feedback from my compatriots, and forcing myself to give thought to other issues that members have presented, and I hope to remain a dedicated member as much as I can.

That said, I'll get to the point: I won't be a moderator for too much longer. It's been a rewarding gig, but life has simply gotten in the way. What with landing a new job, and being in the process of relocating while I face the challenges this new job will bring, I simply don't have the time and energy I was previously able to invest in this site. A 40-hour work week at a job that is unlike any employment I've had before (and therefore extremely scary), plus all the time and mental effort that has gone into my studies for the past year and a half, there are many things that have had to fall by the wayside, and unfortunately my duties here fall under that category.

I have seen the site change administrative hands, moderators come and go, and the site continue to evolve - we have managed to avoid staying stagnant while at the same time bringing in fresh new people and ideas, without losing its integrity or the singular focus on its core mission on supporting those who have many struggles in common, a supportive and friendly atmosphere. I am honored to have been a part of it throughout these few years, and I know that this will continue forward, into the future.

I will be performing my moderator duties as long as I can. I just thought I should let the rest of y'all know what has been going on in my life, and why perhaps I am not (and will not be) as involved as I used to. Life happens, as they say, and things sure are happening for me (for better or for worse, we shall see).

Much love to you all,
xoxo,
wyv

Unfortunate that you can't mod anymore Wyverary, life does often get in way. I wish you the best in your new life.

I logged in randomly for the first time in a long while yesterday because of news I heard about something I posted about here before. I miss you and many other and I am still grieving that some things happened to prevent me being around here. But I am proud of you and it's nice to see what's going on in your life. Onward and upward. you are a very smart and good person and it makes my heart warm that it sounds like you are moving on to bigger and better things in your life. Wish you success and good things always Wyv <3

Congrats on the new job Wyv! You were a great moderator while it lasted. I wish you nothing but luck and success in your new job. <3
