Since we're on the subject of refrigerators, Here's a rather cheesy but very well done British video about how refrigerators work.
Hope you enjoy!!

Congrats on the new fridge. In my area I can get a rebate for both the new fridge if it is energy star rated, and a rebate for the old one which they will come pick up for recycling.

Magnets.jpg
The magnets on the fridge when my ex was here. The side had this many too. After she left, I spent hours scrubbing the front with stainless cleaner, because after almost 3 years the magnets left a rusty residue behind that was eating into the fridge. One actually had to be lifted off with a putty knife because it wouldn't budge, it was rusting to the fridge. So I would suggest removing them periodically and cleaning under them.

Refrigerator shopping

You can have this fridge for $600....

Double that and then you get to the cheap ones...

Bought a fridge/freezer in america a few years back, saved a fortune by not having all the ice crushing, drink options in the doorway. Just something extra that's going to break.

Any dust bunnies under the fridge? Remove the grill and run a yardstick covered with a pair of pantyhose underneath.

What goes on behind the Fridge, Stays behind the Fridge.

Congratulations on your new fridge, Fridge.

May it fill the gap in your heart and kitchen work surfaces,
It’s energy rating and low pitched humming be to your specification and preference,
and may it serve you as reliably as the fridge you broke.
:)

How do we (old-school) gift a fridgemagnet?

How do we (old-school) gift a fridgemagnet?

It's much quieter. The other one bothered me for 8 years.

We had a ''everythings defrosting' emergency.'

Bought a new one.

Turns out it was not broken.

Got the new one.

Broke one of the shelves soon after it arrived.

plus ça change, plus c'est la même chose
