Pineberries were available in M&S ages ago. They are white, pinkish looking strawberries that taste sort of like pineapple and smell like vanilla. But I only bought them once.

Frozen grapes! The best ice lollies around!Frosty canned pears, and cold apples are perfecto on hot summers here!
It's a European tradition too (or in some parts at least). My parents did similar, tangerines usually, nut's and raisin's, walnuts, etc. It's citrus fruit season so I'm eating oranges and tangerines. I can't eat grapefruit because it conflicts with one of my medicines.
When I was growing up, "Santa Claus" always included an orange and some whole walnuts in our Christmas stockings. I did that with my kids, too, just because it was a family tradition. Does anyone know if that is an American thing or is that done in Europe, too?
