Hi everyone, my name is Marie. I am 41, and finally reached some understanding about myself. Sad it took so long, its been a difficult road to get where I am - mentally. I am very excited to find you all!

Hi, I'm 43, I realized I was an Aspie two years ago. I joined this community recently, it's awesome. I feel at home here.

Hey Marie! I'm new too:). I'm older than you are, and feel like I'm just getting started sorting out my deal. Let's both be happy to be here-- most good things are awhile in the making.

Welcome, Marie!
Tell us about yourself, please :)
Any hobbies? Special interests? Pets?

'Lo Marie! Welcome. It took me a long time to truly understood myself too; I knew I've been struggling but I've just been sweeping it all under the rug and waiting for that magical moment when I just "improve". Who was I kidding, I've spent almost 30 years chasing a ghost. I finally got to see a professional a couple of months ago because nothing was working, and he sort of diagnosed me with Asperger's - not formally, just high suspicion. He and I are working together on managing it, while at the same time I'm just now starting to understand myself some more. This site, now - best forum on the planet! The doc advised that I join an online community and there's no better one than AC. The people here help me understand myself so well...and I'm happy that you joined us. I myself haven't been a member for very long but I'm already gaining so insight from here, and from my doc. I finally feel like I belong somewhere, which I've been struggling to find throughout my entire life, I just feel like there have been so many years lost!

Snap :) Self diagnosed and 41! Currently learning a lot and can nearly always, in some way relate to the posts here. Welcome!

Yep, it's quite a revelation to discover later in life. Yet it's better to know whatever your age may be.

Welcome to AC.

Thank you everyone for your kindness. I feel welcome, its wonderful! I finally found the people I've been searching for.
