How can I stop obsessing about my singlehood?

Part of why I always push this point about not using the term “most women” is because whenever people say it, I often disagree with whatever follows, and yet I am very much a woman.

Also, I am a tomboy, so I feel self-conscious and defensive when discussions turn to conventional prettiness and attractiveness and looks. I really do think we all see these things differently and the assumption that any gender identity monolithically experiences attraction must be wrong.

All four of my siblings managed to graduate college, get married, and sire their own children. I am so far behind them. :(

My first answer is such a joke:

-Have a chat with some old couples-

I mean having a partner isn't always easy, ain't always sweetness, you are two different humans, you can't match with your perfect clone, there will be honey and hard times.

Being a couple means finding compromises, no one is always on the right side of the bed

If you happen to have a lot of money you can use, consider a match making service that works with you in-person.

It is a natural drive to have, there's nothing to be done about it except just accepting who you are and your circumstances.

It's fine to be sad, lonely and frustrated about it but ultimately the only logical thing we can do about that which we cannot change, is to accept it.
