I'm having a meltdown today

Panthro

Well-Known Member
I am crying for no reason and have shut myself off from everyone. I couldnt even do my presentation in my class today. I feel so bummed out. What do you guys if and when you feel like this?

Sorry you're having a hard time Panthro. Have you been able to identify what precipitated your meltdown? Maybe if you share that (if you know it) it will help forum members make suggestions? Glad you didn't shut yourself off from us! I can't really advise because I'm an NT but sounds like maybe some peace and quiet will be helpful & maybe the crying will release tension. Anyway hang in there- I'm sure other members will chime in too.

Look after yourself, and remember it's just for a while.

"this too shall end"

Don't feel bad about it, it's not your fault, it's just what's happening now, and soon it will pass.

"The bad times have not come to stay, they have come to pass"

Is there anywhere you can go to be alone, and do you have ear phones and a music source?

If you can't tell people what's happening, can you tell them you're having a migraine, or you can feel one coming on?

The solution is the same, quiet isolation.

Very good advice. I would add sleep, a favorite or weighted blanket, white noise, and that bunnies will work pretty well, too. Though they are less likely to curl up on your feet and sleep for 13 hours.

Thanks for the response guys! I'm glad to know that someone in the world cares about me.

I think that it was just all of the stress in my life plus the fact that I haven't slept much since Sunday. I think a good night's rest will help me a lot. Thank you for your kind words!

I hadn't thought of that, that probably would have been a good idea. I surprisingly had some of my classmates texting me asking if I was ok, I'm not used to people caring about me. Anyways I feel better now.

It's times like this that I wish that I still had a cat, but some chocolate and some tea sounds good though. :)

I think the cats are as nervous as rabbits, forgot about a polar fleece blanket.
The cats wouldn't sleep for 13 hours four or five maybe !
