Weather and climate

I am thinking of a few things about weather:

What's the temperature you wear a hoodie?

What's the temperature you wear a pair of shorts?

Why is it that some places are so cool and breezy, while others are really, really hot?

All joking aside; I don't know if there should be something like etiquette for clothing. If I'm warm, I'll dress so I can manage with that.

I wear hoodies a lot and that's not because of the weather. It's because I like to wear them. Shorts, same.

Humidity is the big thing for temperature I think. We have a rather humid climate here, so summers are really icky. I've heard that in places like Turkey and Spain it's way better, while the temperature is the same.

For me shorts at least 60f
Hoodies nothing above 55f
The weather here can be strange in winter as low as 17f morning and 80f afternoon.

I wear them year round but I have lightweight thin linen ones for summer & thicker ones for when it is really cold. The zipper front ones are great over a t shirt or a tank top for easy removal & the pullover ones are good for when you will e leaving it on all day.

Hoodies I wear as long as it's colder then 15C (when it's colder den 0C I wear a jacket too) and it has to be at least 20-25C for me to waer anything like shorts.
But usually I kinda wear the sam clothes all year round exept that I wear more outerwear during the colder months.

I like it cold...below 60 outside I guess I'll put a hoodie on. I keep my place at about 65, occasionally wear the hoodie indoors.
I don't like shorts, but I break down and wear them about 85 or more

Hoodies--I don't wear them. I am too old besides around here it's a gang-banger thing (no offense).

Shorts--any time the temperature is over 80 degrees.

Now, for hats, gloves and a scarf--it has to be around zero or below. I tell people when you see me bundled up you know it is COLD! I've been known to go out in six degree weather with wet hair (yes, it does freeze). But it also depends on how long I plan to be outside.

Why are some areas cool and breezy while others are really really hot? It depends on where they are located on the surface of the earth, whether they are near water or inland. I live about 30 miles east of Lake Michigan and we get something called Lake Effect Snow. In fact there is a Lake Effect Snow Warning out right now for tonight and tomorrow. Think of Lake Effect Snow as being like a mini-blizzard. Visibility can go from normal to non-existent in a matter of seconds and then back to normal again and it causes LOTS of accidents on the freeway because everybody is barreling along just as fast as they can and all of a sudden they can't see ANYTHING. It's worse than fog in my opinion.

I seldom have the opportunity to wear a hoodie. It never gets cold in where I live, unless I am sick - when it's cold all the time.

For shorts, I wear shorts almost all the time when there is no dress code.

Overall, a place with a great climate would be any place that allows me to wear a hoodie and track pants all the time. San Francisco, maybe?
