What Did Music Sound Like When You Were A Teenager?

You know, that one lady we met that one time.

I want everyone to post a few YouTube videos featuring music from their formative years. What were the songs that really hit you as a kid? Which songs changed your life?

There was so much music. This is just five that comes to mind because they were so wildly popular. I thought Black Hole Sun was awesome when I first heard it and Alice in Chains kicked so much butt. It was a shame that Layne Staley ended up like he did. Tragic.

Disco was big in my teen years.
I liked many songs of that genre, but I do not consider any one song to be life-changing.
It was a part of our school dances, but I was too young to legally go to actual discos.
Some say that disco is "dead," but now it is called EDM.

Bon Jovi, Cranberries, Evanescence, Britney Spears and Madonna were what i listened to most when i was a Child.

Loved this vid:

I listened to these songs so much, I was able to fast forward the cassettes and know exactly where to stop and push play, and nearly all of the time, I'd be right on the song. They pulled me out of my "Wicked Little Town" and were my only companions on many a lone underage adventure.

These are the EXACT songs I was about to post!

I had a life changing Offspring moment :) They played a concert in Oslo in the mid-90s. And I ended up there by quincidence. I was out to get weed with some friends and we just happened to end up at the concert. It was a small dirty garage with a small dirty stage, it had room for just 200 people. It was loud and dirty and we met the Offspring guys when it was over.

Basically, this whole album has been my friend through decades of ups and downs. Nirvana is my favorite band.

I still have scars from this song, for a while it owned the 90s in Scandinavia. You couldn't get away from it, that was the problem, it was everywhere. Darn Swedes, I think they did it just to mess with people.

Love me some grunge. I would add Vines to that like *Ride*. The lead singer is autistic l believe too. I tried to load but my phone just turned into a 80's phone and can load. Lol

I absolutely adored Nights in White Satin. It excited my little high school brain. Lol
