Lady Penelope and I were on Summer vacation. It was the warmest time of the year to be out and about on the beach. The sand was golden and the sea was a bright blue. We were both lounging on deckchairs in the shade of a palm tree, drinking meltingly cold cherry cocktails and chatting about how nice it is to spend time outdoors in the lovely weather like this.

Later, after our drinks were all gone, we ran into the sea and enjoyed being in the cold water, splashing each other and laughing loudly. Sometimes, we lay back in the water and looked up at the beautiful blue sky. On the sand, we played beach volleyball and had a race on some sand dune buggies, to which I won the race. It was such a lot of fun, I didn’t want this day to end.

But back at our hotel, it was time to wind down. It was raining heavily outside, so we had to run in as fast as we could back to our hotel room. We ordered some delicious room service - Penelope had London broil with mashed potatoes and peas, while I had sausage rolls with pork cocktail sausages, ice cream and a can of Coke. It was a bit too rainy to try the hot tub outside, which made me disappointed, but Penelope said we could try it tomorrow.

After a warm bath to wash the sand off and we have been dried, it was time to go to bed. We snuggled down in our soft, comfortable hotel bed listening to the rain outside, and closed our eyes, dreaming of another fun day on our holiday - a time to relax and unwind with no missions to see us through.
