I think being a successful 'me' in school and being a successful 'me' on the streets are really, vastly different.

If I am really successful on the streets, in my own definition, I'd really be what I want others to remember me: fresh.

This means, at least in the time 2003 (when hyphy first started to spread 'round), I know what I wanted to be:

You don't need any help. White t-shirt doesn't indicate affiliation with a gang. It simply indicates poor upbringing and lack of morals and values.

Name one successful person (outside of sports and hip-hop) who dresses in a hugely oversized white t-shirt and baggy jeans/shorts. Now see how many criminals and thugs you can name who dress like that.

Well, that's what I wanted to do: being an activist for new urban development.

If I have a dark color-and-white hat, a white T-shirt that's a little loose, dark colored loose-fitting jeans or track pants or cargo shorts with pockets, Nike Air Force Ones white on white... Then I'll look fresh. As said, I'd already my moments like this. And I just did so just now...

Now I have some things left undone. The second part of my equation:

Being a dedicated student means doing everything and anything to keep my heads up, and to concentrate in what I want. :)
