Even as a fervent supporter of the government (or because I am such), I am not happy with these developments in Singapore:
1. Some interest-based groups discriminates against Aspies and other PSEs - through outright banning, and even people who worked in Autism groups also look down on those with Autism;
2. Singapore continues to discriminate against Unification Church members and so on, while allowing corrupt religious figures like Rev. Ming-Yi and Rev. Kong Hee to get away relatively scot-free;
3. Last of all, mind me using a vulgar word, despite me displaying all proof of evidence and supporting stuff to my ideas, all I got from my local autism organization is '**** off'. I can't find a more apt word, though it's inaccurate actually. They refused to help me. They want me to do mindless jobs - that anyone can do. I am not 'anyone'.
It is obvious to me that I should seek my opportunities - I even say, Vietnam or Thailand is a better, more conducive place for me than in my native Singapore. Sigh. Isn't Singapore my homeland?
I want a smaller government, a bigger society and a proud nation.
Today, these three points are moot. It's no longer a country I can be proud off, because all signs point I don't belong in Singapore, no matter how hard I try. Just because I am who I am. I am, first and foremost, a Singaporean. And a Brony. And an Aspie. But because I am an Aspie, I can't be a Singaporean who does his best for the country, as there is absolutely nothing I can help to improve my lot (let alone society's), and I can't be a Brony in Singapore! So does it stand that I am a Singaporean, because as an Aspie, I can't be a Singaporean?
I haven't even touched on my other political views on sustainability, realistic governance etc... There isn't much political choice to discuss about these in Singapore, anyway.
I guess it's time to move on, and move out.
