I came up with my idea for this story on February 29, 2016. I was thinking about how Leap Day is really just making up the last six hours of the previous four years, and then I got an idea to try writing a book based on my life that centered around New Year's and Leap Day. I had finished my second novel a month earlier, and was in need of inspiration.

The story kind of goes off on tangents every few paragraphs, but if it didn't, it would be more of a "then she did this. Then she did that" story, which is not at all what I'm aiming for. Most of the things I talk about in the story are necessary for getting my point across, as well as small plot-lines woven in. I am currently on February 29, 2016: 12 pm - 6 pm in Part 3, where I go back to my early life. Right now, I'm listing all the obsessions I've ever had and telling a story about each, which I never realized I had so many until I tried to list them... :/December 31, 2012
