Someone I dislike says something good

I really really really dislike the TV dog trainer Victoria Stilwell. I'm not even going to go in to the reasons for this. However, even our worst enemies (take that remark with a pinch of humor, I know she's not actually evil) can sometimes say good things.
She says good and true things when she writes about breed prejudice, and breeds that are discriminated against.
The Truth About Pit Bulls | Victoria Stilwell Positively

This article contains one of the best descriptions I have ever seen of the pit bull temperament. (Species, that of being a dog, influences a dog's temperament far more than breed does, and within a breed, individual dogs have individual personalities, but, that being said, certain breeds do have certain temperamental/behavioral tendencies.)
"Pit bulls enjoy a jest for life that is incomparable to others." True, true, true. She must have met my dog.

"Highly demonstrative and emotional dogs that thing with their hearts rather than their heads". She met my dog. "exceptionally quick learners" again, my dog.

Let's not let our dislike for certain persons, or our disagreement with them on some/mpst issues cloud our heads when they say something genuinely worth listening to.

People tend to forget that this breed was initially intended to be a "nanny" dog. They were bred to have the energy and intelligence to play with small children, but the protective nature necessary to keep them from harm. No dog is born aggressive or cruel, we make them that way. Anyone who would blame a dog for it's "nature" has failed to look within themselves, as after all a dog is a reflection of it's owner.
