Teddybears and stuffed animals?

I had a Paddington bear when I was little and whenever I traveled on a plane, I always carried it with me hand luggage. I dont know where Paddington is now but I havetwo cats now.

Since I was a baby, I've had a "blanket." It was by my side until maybe 10. I still sleep with a blanket, though my "blankie" now is actually a worn out, super soft robe ^_^ I was highly attached to my stuffed animals as a child though, and to some extent still am with certain ones. I think most only children are especially fond of their stuffties. :)

I had stuffed animals as a kid. One of my favorites was a stuffed "Pongo" that eventually got destroyed. There were others, but after Pongo I kinda gave them up. I guess I didn't want to get hurt again, lol. Recently, I made a symbolic adoption of a red wolf (basically, you send them an extra large donation, and they send you a fact sheet, some pictures, and maybe some goodies, depending on how much you give, any of which you can decline of course). I've called him Gaius Cornelius Tacitus, because he doesn't talk very much :3

Thats a cute teddybear. My teddybears are my two cats

I don't have a stuffed animal, or a live pet I have to sleep with but, I do have to sleep with a Velux blanket, preferably a mauve one but, brown or red will do if there are no mauve ones available when I need a new one.

Technically, he's a Canis rufus, or red wolf. The recovery area is in South Carolina, I think. Unfortunately, they have been completely failed by the US government. In the first place, there were supposed to be two more recovery areas, one in Florida, and one within driving distance of my house (!!!) but it was not to be. Then there's this thing with coyotes. Coyotes are technically invasive species, and resemble red wolves a bit. Because of their solitary behavior compared to wolves, a good way of managing them is to capture coyotes, spay or neuter them, then release them back into the wild. Each coyote will hold down it's territory from other coyotes, and when a red wolf is ready to move into the area, they'll kick the coyote out. Unfortunately, the culture of violence thinks it's better to shoot things any time you get an excuse, so the state of South Carolina is holding coyote hunts even in the recovery area, and red wolves are getting caught in the cross-fire. Leading cause of death for red wolves is gunshot wounds.

I hate any form of hunting or harming animals. That's why I'm a vegetarian.

After my suicide attempt, one of my bandmates was really supportive and comforting with me, the one that found me and saved my life. I went for about two weeks of not wanting him to leave my side. He gave me his mauve Velux blanket to cuddle when he couldn't be within my site and, that's were that cuddle item comes from. Still can't sleep without a Velux blanket and, mauve is still best. I just like brown and red ones so, I'll make do with them if I can't get a mauve one.

Well I'm glad you're still with us in the land of the living. I can see how the mauve blanket makes you feel secure. And maybe you have some love for your bandmate too.

I'll always love him, even though he did take is own life a few years after he saved mine. I had moved on to another band by then but still it's ironic that he chose the same means I had attempted, only no one found him.

I'll always respect his memory and, I owe him my life but, before anyone asks, no I don't blame myself for his suicide, that was his choice and definitely ironic that he chose my method but, not my fault.

If anything he learned of that method because of me and, it is one of the fastest, least painful means of doing it so, I know he didn't suffer long when he did it so, that's about as much of a positive as one can find in a suicide.

When I was a child, I used to have a large collection of stuffed animals that I built an imaginary world out of. Each animal had a name, personality, "voice", and role in the story.
I did something similar. I had a fantasy where all stuffed animals came from a special planet for stuffed animals, and then they were flown to Earth, placed in a store, and then bought by children. I imagined stories about how they would interact with each other, and had a little notebook where I would write down some of the things I imagined. But I never did much actual cuddling with them, it was all about the fantasy in my head. Today, I still have my stuffed animals, and I have used their old personalities as inspiration for characters, but I don't really play with them.

I have a lot of toys I collect including stuffed ones but I have one old bear that I like to cuddle at night or when I'm upset,I also like this velvety purple blanket that was given to me by my aunt as a gift,I also have an English staffy named sprocket who i also like to cuddle.

Im sorry to hear you lost him

I have one of these. A childhood friend gave it to me eleven years ago. Still sleep with it every night. It feels weird to sleep without anything now.

okay yes im 19 and a guy, i still have a teddy bear, i don't really cuddle him because he is the wrong size but i do find it comforting him being around as i got him when i was little and have travelled all over the word with him. say hello to my bear.

Here are my current favorite plushies. :) I actually have a collection of them at this point, but these are the ones that go places with me and are more "my friends" than the others.

They're mostly on the small side, so I can carry them with me easily in my pockets or a bag. :) I also like the sort of "fuzzy" texture that the Disney Tsum Tsums have...they feel like the inner lining of a well-worn hoodie. I also like how they fit in one's hand, so they're easily to pet or squeeze when you want to discreetly stim with something soft and warm. The Dumbo Tsum Tsum (the one to the left of the sleeping one) actually helps me sleep when I hold him in my hand. Oh (the purple alien near the back) helps me sleep when I tuck him under my chin. I've had Babs (the chicken) and the dolphin since I was a kid.
