Hello.

I’m Ephricity, or Eph.

I’m currently on a waiting list to get an appointment to be assessed for ASD and ADHD, but because of where I live (and being an adult) it seems to be very difficult to get one. Personally I’m fully convinced that I have both ASD and ADHD; my main reason for wanting it to be official is to get medication to help me function. I’m living on the presumption that I’m on the spectrum, because... it’s the only thing that makes sense as an explanation for all the otherwise unexplainable things in my life. Y'know?

I used to spend a lot of time on forums as a teenager, but stopped after starting university. I don’t really know how to make friends in real life though, so in the last [redacted] years I’ve become gradually more and more isolated. I can’t even go to sing in choirs (my main excuse for socializing) because of the pandemic, so now my only interactions with people are at my day job. I missed being in online spaces, because it was where I felt more comfortable expressing myself, and so I thought I’d see if it was possible to make new connections here.

I hope to find someone to talk to who shares some of my interests. I’ll give a broad list below, but I’m happy to be a *lot* more specific if you like. If you see something you’re interested in, please do ask me about it!

- Writing – children’s fiction, animal stories, fairy tales

- Games – story-based, RPGs and adventure games, puzzle games, weird indie games

- Music – game and film soundtracks, classical and early music, piano, choral singing, musical theatre (sort of)

- Anime – nostalgic garbage, avant-garde stuff, edgy crap, wholesome stuff

- Other – gardening, drawing, Excel, YouTube video essays

I practice writing stories and music, and learning game design, but I’m increasingly finding it difficult to make the time. Still, I’ll try to participate in the creative sections of this forum in some way.

I look forward to chatting!

Hi, and welcome to the site. The first rule of Autismforums, is you do not talk about autismforums. The second rule is... I forget.

Hello and wellcome!

I also like games, I started with RPGs like FFVII since I come from role playing games. Then moved to MMORPGs to get the social part of them. I am more with single player mode now, to better control my playing time. Currently with Blood Bowld Legendary edition. ¿What are you playing now?

I also like animes. :)

I hope you will get your diagnose and the medical help.

Welcome to the forum. If you can believe it, I share some of your interests and that is all that I will say.

I think that you will find this space welcoming beyond the greetings you receive here. There is a wealth of interesting things to discover and I hope you stick around.

I write faery tales in rhyme, love movie soundtracks, and rescue sad violets from the grocery store. You'll find a lot of folks here with similar likes. Check out the Off Topic Discussions for some interesting ice breakers and conversation.

Oh no... I broke the first rule of Autismforums by talking about Autismforums. Thank you for letting me know about not talking about Autismforums, I'll make sure that I don't mention Autismforums from now on, not just on the website Autismforums, but even on websites that aren't Autismforums.

Hey, I actually haven't played FFVII yet, though I've been meaning to for years... I like the idea of MMORPGs, especially as a way of meeting people, but I've never found one I could get into, the grinding and subscription model is really off-putting.
I'm currently replaying Deltarune Chapter 2 (and taking notes, I'm a bit obsessed with analysing the lore in Toby Fox's games and coming up with theories) and then I might get around to playing The Forgotten City. I also recently finished Omori, which is a fantastic cutesy/psychological horror RPG that you should definitely NOT play unless you're in a good state of mind. It's quite disturbing.

What kind of anime are you into?

Thanks Richelle for the kind words, I'm looking forward to meeting and getting to know everyone .

Thanks Darkkin, I'd love to read some of your work! I never got the hang of writing verse but I enjoy the exercise, I'm definitely no poet though! What are some of your favourite movie soundtracks?

Hello. Also a writer. Or trying to be. Like your avatar.

Hi Wolfy, I know exactly what you mean... but trying is a kind of doing, so you are a writer! Someone once told me that thinking about writing counts as writing, so now I say that I'm a prolific author with no output, haha. That's not entirely true because I am 80% through a novel at the moment, but progress is extremely slow.
And thanks - my avatar is an early version of a character I came up with for a game idea.
