Hahaha. He already had a blanket made of paper. A youngster made it for him, and even made an elaborate stage for him. Every single youngster that's seen him isn't afraid and is fascinated by him, I feel good letting them have that experience.

@8398 and thats a good experience for them to have. A paper blanket does that keep him warm enough ? that was nice of the youngster to make the blanket and stage for him. i really do enjoy our time together

haha nah it just lays on the floor of his cage, waiting to be pooped on. His heat lamp is what really keeps him warm.

@8398 are there any other reptiles in the same cage or aqurium with him ? and your kindness and good pet ownership keeps him and his heart warm do you use a red heat lamp at night for additional warmth at night or just your room heater ?

for my snakes i would use to do both use my room heater and also a red heat lamp and other nights i would use only the red heat lamp and then some nights i would only use my room heater. I also kept a damp towel on top of the aqurium for added humidity then i would also use a reptile water bottle and mist down the snakes and aqurium.

My heat lamp is slightly different, it's a ceramic heater that doesn't give off any light, so I can have it on all night. I have a separate UVB light. And nope, he has no tank mates. With male bearded dragons, I think they are supposed to be alone or they'll hurt each other. That's interesting to know what snakes need. Lizard doesn't need and humidity.

Neverkeep a pair of two male bearded dragons in the same enclosure. A pair of two females might work, however. He is in a glass tank but his lid is mesh wire I think is what it's called. I think I'll only have him, I'd need a tank size upgrade for two. A controversial debate regarding beardie care, is what substrate to use. According to the internet, lose substrate such as sand has a risk of being eaten and impacting the beardie's system. But the downside of not using it is that they have a natural burrowing instinct, and sand heats up nicely and makes it easy to scoop poop. I decided to stay safe and use a plastic reptile carpet.
