This huge 5 inch Columbian vise was salvaged from an arsonist's fire several years ago.
After fully sandblasting it, it was refinished with black Rustoleum paint
I love this sooooo much! I love watching tool restoration videos on YouTube and this looks just like those. Amazing.
 
You have breathed fresh life into this bench vise. Man, that is such a great job. I have my wife's grandfather's bench vise and I wished I had the expertise/tools to restore his this way!
 
@Wheelered it took me a lifetime of learning to know how to, then about the same amount of time to gather the necessary equipment to do the work to the level I required of myself.
Start small with hand worked methods until you feel you are ready to take the next step and in time, you can get there too :)
