Hedgehog Instigator Just for myself. I once did a single miniature as a commisson for someone and I wasn't even half as motivated, lol

King_Oni honestly it's not worth it, i've done commision stuff for tattoos and then never got paid. and i've had custom pieces of jewelry made up and then told i did it wrong. It's not worth the bother. Had a girl ask me to paint her a dragon, I asked her for details and she said "Just a blue dragon." after I was done she said "well that's not what I pictured in my head." lol

Oh, I know it's not worth it.

Looking at the pricetags, there's only a handful of people willing to spend that amount of money to get it painted, and when you charge people your paintjob has to be way, way beyond what I can do. I don't even use an airbrush. The amount of time and money spent on it, is something you probably would have to do because you have a certain passion to paint, and thus far I'm too stuck up to only be passionate about what's mine. At least I'm well aware of that.

The only reason I tend to a bit more "all out" with my own work is because I hate to see unpainted figures when I'm gaming. It's something that never sat well with me within the gaming community in general. Way too many people have way too much unpainted figures. And while it's their choice to spend money and not paint them, it just bothers me, so I at least make an effort myself so at least I have no reason to get annoyed with myself over it, hah.

Hedgehog Instigator Yeah I do, though they come with instructions, so that's fairly easy to do, heh.

Though as a kid I had plenty of practice on modellingkits as well. (don't ask me about painting back than, lol)
