Absolutely zero kids here, every year. We're a "Holdout House" (or "nail house") with businesses all around us. :expressionless:
Went from 93°F yesterday to 42 this morning. Finally feels fall-ish.

1/4 inch would shut down the town you say? I'm guessing the town would be closed and everyone would move if you woke up to this one morning. :)

The heavy metal band Iron Maiden has a song called Dance Of Death about a man who is called to dance with ghosts. The above meme reminded me of it.
Don't underestimate the power of just listening (and not offering advice). Sometimes you seek solutions and sometimes you seek validation. Both are equally fruitful.

These are very wise and thoughtful words. You are right about it and I wish everyone could learn this the easy way.

It's hard as our culture is geared towards impulsively putting bandaids on mental boo-boos so we can continue to forge ahead. And then wonder why we continue to relive the pain that those bandaids couldn't heal.
Of course there is also a fine line between validation and reinforcement....
Aspie quirk? : knowing right away when a food brand changes their recipe/formula even slightly.
