I have a wonderful family that I love very much, including five grandchildren, age 2 to age 10. I am closest to my husband, my mom and my youngest daughter. I come from a high-achieving family, my dad is a USAF veteran, pilot and retired power plant operator with his master's in fisheries biology. My mom is an RN who is disabled and my brother is two years short of a PhD in some type of Theology. I was selected for an extended learning program in sixth grade and scored high on an IQ test, so my parents had high hopes for me. But all I really wanted was to feel loved and accepted, which took my focus off of education/career, and I became involved in serial abusive relationships, raising my children mostly by myself. Since I met my current husband, began attending a new church with him and we bought a new home together, some of my family have written me off and told me they think I am an adulteress according to Scripture. I am passionate about following God, righting wrongs and healing those relationships in any way I can. I know I am nothing without God, and look to Him every day for help doing what is right. I have a dream of someday putting together care packages for the homeless which includes blankets, socks, personal care items, food and information about God and His love.
