I'm trying to enter full-time employment again..

Beverly & Rich - The best of luck for you both! Rich, I'm also considering part-time jobs if full-time isn't possible. Then again, my freelance work is keeping me busy & my financial situation is better this year. To be frank, there are more online work opportunities for me, so there's a lot to...

I'm trying to enter full-time employment again..

The IT job that I applied would be processed in about two weeks. The number of applicants is quite big - 527. Other job opportunities are available, but the 'good communication skill' requirement scares me a bit. Anyway, I just sent an email to a tourism company about a job opening. Right now...

I'm trying to enter full-time employment again..

I LOVE lists. They make me feel everything is in order. It's hard to find medical support here in my country for adults with any type of autism, so this is very, very helpful tips. I would definitely do this :) Thanks!

I'm trying to enter full-time employment again..

Thank you. I'm trying to do my best to get rid of the 'what ifs' and want more of 'at least I tried', or even better - 'I did it'. Hoping 2018 would be a good year for all of us here.

What kind of advantages does your ASD provide for you?

Well, some people like my bluntness and they presume that I'm a 'cool' person who says things as they are. I myself not sure about this 'quality'... I like that I'm able to withstand repetitive tasks, since we Aspies love routines :)

I'm trying to enter full-time employment again..

After 6 years of freelancing from home, which able to keep me afloat financially & even help to pay some of my younger sister's student loan, I decided to try and find full-time employment again. Perhaps this decision is triggered by my sis who finally found a job at a small travel agency...

I think I possibly have AS

Same here. After graduation, I searched for jobs like any other fresh graduate. Interviews were hard for me. I did get a job (but only 1-year contract basis) at a computer service company back in 2005, I worked effortlessly when I was on my own. When the bosses put me in a team and gave me a...

    Body Image Issues?

I was anorexic and then bulimic for some time during my teen years. Thank goodness I stopped. Now I just focus on moderation when I eat. I don't worry about weight that much anymore.

What are some normal things you will never do, or never do again?

Cinema - strangers around me munching their popcorn loudly, the sound system that is always too loud for me, everyone else laughing or gasps at some scenes but not me. Last year I told my younger sister after we watched Thor Ragnarok, "Sorry, but this is the last time for me".

    All away from Sabah, Malaysia...

Hi everyone, I'm Lit. Self-diagnosed aspie (also LGBT) when I was 24. It was a relief to have an answer to my bad social skills, but frustrating to know that my brain is forever wired this way. Autism, in general, is still a powerful stigma in my dogmatic country and will be for a very long...
