Found it. It was named in honor of Arthur Neiva, so it means "Neiva's ant". I'll try to post a link to the article.But "snow ant" would make sense given that they range farther north and are found in colder climates than other army ants.Possibly? I would expect the entire genus name to be derived from Greek, though. I'll have to dig through my books later and see.
