What are your goals for next year?

Burn 80lbs off my belly.

Slowly and safely.

Cardio, weights and very little refined sugar.

A year from now, all the single gay guys will look at my flat belly and worship my newfound fitness. I will become a shallow narcissistic gym rat. I will drown in a sea of party drugs and promiscuity, but my only regret will be I am now too old to join the 27 club.

At some point in the above post, I stopped being serious.

Learn to suffer fools somewhat closer to gladly. (There's almost no way to go but up on this one.)

To reasses the decision-making process.

Further Details in the General Autism Forum discussion-thread, 'Decision-Making Process - Adults with High Functioning Autism.'

I'd like to quit smoking Mary Jane by the end of the year.

I'd like to go to the gym and shed the excess fat and continue building my musculature.

I'd like to be able to quit the rat race and stop busting my behind for pennies when I need 4 times what I make to survive.

To that end, I'd like to start making money on social media, likely combining my talents in intellect and comedy to make edutainment content.

And if at all possible, considering the solar minimum this year promises minimal electromagnetic interference with my experiments, I'd like to dive headfirst into experimenting with concepts in parapsychology and fringe sciences. I've got some theories of mine I'd love to test out given the opportunity!

To reassess strengths in order to better reassess weaknesses.

With the Autism Spectrum, the strengths are most likely activities not requiring social interaction. The weaknesses are most likely the dynamics of social interaction itself!

We are approaching solar maximum, not minimum. We've even had auroras visible in Florida a few times lately

Yep, perihelion happened just over a week ago. That's why Australia's summer is so much hotter than the northern hemisphere's, it happens during perihelion.

Anyone that believes the nonsense about the hole in the ozone layer really shouldn't try to pursue a career in the sciences. Yes there is a hole in the ozone layer but it's thousands of miles south of Australia. Even at perihelion the sun is still north of much of Australia. Light travels in straight lines, (mostly) it does not go down past Australia, down through the hole in the ozone layer, then back up north to shine down on us.

As for my future goals, they're the same goals I have all the time regardless of wether or not some arbitrary moment in time designates a shift in numbers on our calendar.

To be happy.

Start playing guitar again and release some recordings, maybe start a band with some cool members who can deal with my level 2 support needs during practice

Not according to NOAA. It's supposed to peak in 2025. But that's aways a prediction. It's not a precise 11 year cycle. Last cycle had a double peak. They announced that the cycle had switched, activity dropped a while, then it peaked even higher iirc.
But even if we are on the downswing now, it will be about 5 1/2 years till solar minimum

I was just talking to a RL friend, wondering where the hell 2024 went and wondering if I wasted that year. My friend then told me I’m he saw me make massive self improvements in the last year even if I cannot see them myself. Heh.

For vacation, heading over to the Great Lakes and back. I've gotten all of the back-road atlases I need so far except for Saskatchewan. Camping with the pooches on USGovt lands and Canadian Crown Lands.
Stopping at the small towns to visit museums including the Great Lakes Shipwreck Museum, and the Mariner's Church in Detroit.

It's been 20 years since I've vacationed in Central Europe- I might try another- gotta do it while I'm still ambulatory......

Other than that, get a few more projects done. With ADHD it seems to take 3x as long......

I saw a drama class at an adult education centre that one of my consultants recommended but that doesn't start to May. This is good to me weather wise and gives me time get there but for me that is best lead into the year ahead.

I wish you all the best
I posted about potentially doing a short adult course in drama. I have always liked the arts as an interest for quite some time in my earlier life as well. I though am not always so natural so much in front of the camera and have enjoyed some video making courses as well with City Lit in London.

I am looking for things to do. I live alone and am trying to get away from focusing on myself at home. I saw this course and it looked interesting. However, I went back and read it and noticed that I would have to spend one hour on myself and I didn't know what possibly I could do in that time. After an hour spent alone we then move onto group work. I prefer not to focus on me and I also not the best singer, so it looks like I could be standing this down unless I see it in a diferent way and am missing something.
