Seeking Insights on Support in Hospital Settings

I never heard that before. Do you have a link that is in laymen's terms?

Yes, autism can be confused with drug use because some of the signs of drug use can be similar to symptoms of autism:

- The lighting - overhead fluorescent lighting is an unbearable sensory sensation for me and normally I wear sunglasses or sleep masks. I would need both whilst in hospital, possibly some extra dark sunglasses because the overhead lights are typically so bright in such places.
I am writing from the psych ward. Sunglasses are on the list of banned items here. Me telling the staff that the light is heightening my anxiety - that my need is real - hasn’t gotten them to make an exception. The same is true for other comfort items - my plushie and pací - that could really help me cope and calm down, with the denial making me lost and frustrated.
