I was born in the 1990s and I can't stand hard rock. I don't know the differences between all the specific type variations but I don't like the loud noisy growling ect. rock music styles. I don't like rap music or most country music either.

I agree with that totally. It always amused me whenever people tried to put a stereotype to me, just when they thought they had it nailed down it would turn out that that's not who I am at all. When a person likes what they like despite the intrusive opinions of others, that is an act of freedom, not an act of rebellion.
LOL.Oh well....according to my family history, it's rife with "rebels". Must be in our blood.
From Manassas to Fredericksburg to Antietam....and Belfast to Derry.
It took me more than half a lifetime for me to realise I am a Rock freak! The irony is that I am JUST NOW discovering alot of 90's punk, grunge, and rock years later. Stuff teenage me would of 100% loved.
I find it hilarious when some people, who get a tattoo, think they are a rebel, these days.My non-conformism has always been by not doing the rebellious and/or deleterious things my peers did.
I don't have any and do not care to get any. Personally, I find tattoos very unattractive.I find it hilarious when some people, who get a tattoo, think they are a rebel, these days.
Every man, woman, gender-diverse, and their dog has one these days.
Well, except me.
To each their own. <shrug>I don't have any and do not care to get any. Personally, I find tattoos very unattractive.
Although you probably wouldn't think that upon meeting me. I look pretty bland.
Yes.Where I come from getting drunk and smoking weed is conforming to normal trends. So am I a rebel for not getting drunk and smoking weed?
Chocolate!!!If I got addicted to alcohol or drugs the way I'm addicted to Facebook and Autism Forums then I'm glad I never got into drugs or alcohol, because I'd probably be dead by now from overuse.
But i still like it loud! Just music tho."If it's too loud, then you are probably too old"
Lol. I have also wondered if my non conformity is actually adhdOf course not.
I do everythinkg by the book.
Everythinkg I do is via social convention. <irony>
All in all, I'm just another brick in the wall.
The funny thing is, my illusion of being a non-conformist may simply be due to a symptom of having ADHD, I have read recently.
Luckily, I have no perceptible ego, and I am fine with the possibility.
Great songOf course not.

Yes the eternal quest to reduce feedback. It was posted as a joke.
The OP used to build killer mobile sound systems.
I used to be pretty good it it too.
Correct, I don't have sound sensory issues.
My career and lifestyle choices exposed me to loud sounds on a regular basis.
This included helping with music festivals where the music is never quiet.
My quest for high powered audio gear was to get my systems to be as distortion free as possible and to over-ride my tinnitus.
