It's the online classes for me. In 2020 I had to deal with some really...awful stuff online here at college. Also I am just apprehensive about the life after college. Job interview this Friday. Even running off & joining the navy after I graduate sounds good.

I have no idea what to do and it's almost insulting the stuff that people come up with. The ultraconservative landlady is like "you could work at the grocery-store!" after graduation. No, ma'am; you're faculty at this college. I did not bust my arse for the last five years, not taking so much as a summer off, to sell groceries and never own land.

The sign on bonus for a navy sailor is more than I have ever seen in my life; the sign on for a truck driver is more than I've ever made in a year. Academia I need a bit of a break from. I love it but there is no tenure, only "adjunct," and a Catholic school had offered me $20 a week to teach...Ha!

I’m sorry you’re dealing with that :(
I refuse to take online classes now because at one point we had to post and comment on each other’s assignments and I got some horrible comments, about the way I write and speak and about my opinions on some things :( And it wasn’t a debate class…

A lot of people have told me I should work at Stop & Shop or McDonalds :( Nothing wrong with working there of course if it’s what’s a good fit, but those comments were meant to be derogatory towards my intellect and cognitive function.

$20 a week…?! That’s how much I make in an hour…

Yeah, $20 an hour would be like millionaire money to me. I have an interview Friday that's a shoo-in for $18/hr I think, which ain't half bad, so we'll see where I go after this. I hate career choice stuff.
