Quite possibly Callistemon. I just wish the mods would give us the option of choosing which subforums we can see in the same way as the optional politics forum.

Let's talk about something more pleasant. For some reason I have the feeling that a few of you would be able to show me how to use my chainsaw sharpening power tool. This is the kind of thing I have trouble learning off a YT clip...

The clickbait stuff probably doesn't break rules, @tree, but it's annoying when the level of the forum suddenly gets diluted by social media style soundbites and "look-at-mes"...

We've had a spate of people lately posting endless new threads with little content. Granted, some of them have social issues. What to do...

So Report offensive material.

Not sure who you are talking to, @tree. Clickbait is offensive to some of us, but probably not in contravention of rules.

I would be happy to help you look for in-person resources. I'm very sorry that you are contending with this, and can absolutely relate to what you're experiencing (in case it is of help to know). <3

Thank you, Loren <3 I just got your message! My therapist actually recommended the hiking group too so I think I'll try that! I don't want to completely disappear from the forums either but I think taking intermittent breaks will be better for my mental health.

Hullo, Luca! Nice to see you! And breaks are cool - different headspace etc. :)

Thanks :) I will always want to be a part of this community. But I can't let it run my life!

Yes - in Australia we say we can't let the tail wag the dog. ;)

The hiking group sounds nice. Do they carpool? Are there nice places near you to hike?
L
Luca
I'm sure there are people in it who drive, and I can and will drive, I just don't enjoy it lol. I'm currently borrowing a car from my mom.
There are AMAZING places here to hike!!! I've posted a lot of pictures but I can share more.

I will have to find the thread! This is a big forum, I've not even scratched the surface much yet... :)

By the way I watched your obedience clip and it led to some others, including of one of your obviously boy dogs rolling as if doing an ear massage on himself while also going, "Aren't I clever?" :)
L
Luca
I don't think it was a specific thread, they're all over the place lol, but I can make a hiking thread if you and others would like! :) I think a lot of use need a positive distraction from the chaos lol.
I think that was the video of Enzo that I posted in the Weird/Random thread.

"Obviously boy dog" lmao! Most of my dogs are intact :p Keeping dogs intact is not something I'd recommend that everyone does but some of mine are going to be bred eventually, and I also show them. If a person is going to have intact dogs of both sexes I would *always* stress that they need to have the ability to keep them in separate crates when unsupervised when the girls are in season.
