whew! for example means uff! here. lol.
moo means muh.
meow means miau.

@Shaddock , do you have words in German that are spelt the same but pronounced differently with different meanings? An example is Minute (said minnit, a measure of time) and Minute (said mynewt, meaning tiny of very small).

to toll (engl.) = läuten (german) (ringing) - toll (engl.) = zoll (german) (customs)
toll (german) = engl. great

also (engl.) = auch (german) (too)
also (german) = well, right... (engl.)

lack (engl) = knappheit (german) (scarcity)
(der) Lack (german) = paint (engl.)

made (engl.) = gemacht (german)
(die) Made (german) = maggot (engl.)

in our english class such words were called "false friends", because they sound like a german word, but have a different meaning. so some people translated them wrong in exams.
