I hope you can rest soon and feel better!

That's seriously impressive you could fix the hybrid battery; how'd you do that? I didn't know a home mechanic can fix the big batteries in those.

Thanks Luca! :-) I decided to take a bath and I think it's helping :-) It's like heaven compared to how I spent the majority of the day! :-)

@Gerontius It's not that difficult really, as long as you do it safely :-) It's darned heavy though :smilecat: It puts out around 220 volts DC which is quite lethal...

...You have to remove a fusible link and it makes the battery a bit safer to work on but not completely safe until you remove all the connections. From there it's just a case of finding the bad modules and replacing them, making sure that they have a uniform voltage. It could still do with a proper balance but I think it's ok for the time being :-)

Ooh how nice, you were doing actual open-heart surgery on that car! I have never worked on an electric car before; that sounds fun.

@Gerontius I guess you could call it that :-) Having a decent amount of knowledge when it comes to electronics is definitely useful. It's pretty interesting to work on. The car doesn't have a traditional starter motor for example and the way the Synergy drive works is pretty ingenious! :-)
