I have no choice; the only logical, mathematical solution to this problem is all but one: I must adapt to the oppression in this house, and give as much of it back as I can. If your check isn't enough to pay for your own place, you need more income. That's something to focus on, trying to find ways to earn more income, and it's better than becoming evil.
