In effect for most of the day, not right this second, to clarify. But either way I live in a townhouse with no basement and I’m screwed.

God bless you. I'm praying.

Just so you know, we get those all the time in PDX. But they never happen. Maybe once every few years, a shed blows over or something. But mostly, every rainy season, there are curly cues that form off the bottom of storm clouds. But I have never seen a tornado touch down.

Thank you. They rarely touch down here either but every time I see a warning like that I panic.

I hope I’m overreacting. My girlfriend is trying to talk me through it.

I used to have that anxiety, too. What I like to keep in mind is that most tornados are actually pretty tiny, and if you live in a strong house and stay away from windows, your odds of surviving are extremely high!

Thanks @AngelWitch . My gf and I were doing some research about this and it sounds like we might be okay on the first floor bathroom as it has no windows.
Let’s just hope and pray that it doesn’t come to that!!

You need shiny red shoes, and start calling Enzo - Toto, and remember witches are the same as trolls. Hey - you will get thru this. Usually they aren't to big. The catorgy 4 hurricane just blew away people's roofs here, l think the wind was 150 mph right in my area.

I remember pacing and crying at the same time. Then l went outside and didn't realize the carport roof was sorta missing. The first clue it was going to be rough, the neighbors palm trees - all three of them fell over at 10:00 am, the actual hurricane came thru much later.

That’s awful…

We have had minor hurricanes here but never a tornado, at least not since I’ve lived in Massachusetts.
