I got something in my eye one night and 2 drunk and stoned mates had a look at it for me. The first one said he couldn't see anything, the second one burst out laughing. I asked him what was so funny and he said 3 of my eyelashes were waving at him. It was a mosquito in my eye.

Thanks @Rodafina @AuroraBorealis :-) After I had removed the sting I got him comfortable and settled on my bed, then I had a bath. When I came back I noticed some spots of blood on the sheets where he had been curled up. I ran around frantically looking for him. When I found him he was quite timid and just flopped against me when I picked him up...

...I couldn't work out where the blood came from :( it definitely wasn't his eye. So I stayed up all night comforting him and making sure he was ok. Fortunately I noticed at about 6am that he has a damaged claw and it had been bleeding and must have been very sore  I've bathed his paw and he's more like himself now...

... I was so worried about him as I didn't know what was wrong. I'm glad that it doesn't look too serious but if it doesn't get better we'll be going to see the vet right away. But for now I'm so relieved, and very tired, but it's a small price to pay :-)

@Outdated I wasn't sure to offer sympathy or indicate laughter for your mosquito predicament! I decided sympathy was better as having a mosquito in your eye sounds horrible! I have long eyelashes and they often get stuck in my eyes and it drives me mad so I can relate!
