Have you thought about Hawaii? Expensive, but just beautiful. And there are many great people there. I enjoyed Thai, Vietnamese, Korean, Phillipino, Japanese, Hawaiian, Chinese foods daily.

I want to leave North America

I can’t hold a job, I can’t work even though I write well and my strengths are apparent

I need to get away from western ideologies while leaving my past behind, without losing my uniqueness

https://www.forrent.com/hi/honolulu/502-keawe-st/sxqrsy5This is smack in the middle of Waikiki and downtown Honolulu. I worked downtown a lot, just hopped a bus from Moana area, alot of Japanese live in that area. Beautiful area. Maybe you can become a resident of Hawaii, and apply for job training. I actually applied for a grant and was trained as a bookkeeper,

How’s the job situation over there?

As an autistic person, I would like to live in a society where autism is being accepted and being treated equal

I’m not handicapped, nor am I a liability

I never felt any discrimination. The local people are always welcoming , even though l was clearly from the mainland, (California). I didn't know l was ND. Maybe you could find a roommate, and just apply for jobs, better to stay in Honolulu, lots of jobs either Wakiki or downtown. You don't need a car. Okay bus situation in that area. Near Ala Moana Beach, (has fleas , lol). Nice beach.

That’s nice

I don’t mind moving away from Toronto

As long as there’s a chance to generate sustainable income, that is all that matters

If you want to work on your own terms, you need to go into your business yourself.

Huge tourist spot, lots of jobs in the hospitality industry, hotels, restaurants, tours, ABC stores, Walgreens, etc. Downtown is office jobs. Work in a restaurant, free meals.

For writing, it would be the advertising companies, as the tourist industry generates a lot of revenue.

Writing should be one of the most "independent" jobs out there. Vast majority of the writing jobs I know of in the USA are on contract basis. Submit article, get money.

Employment isn't really any different than depending on family. It's well understood that depending on family puts huge restrictions on personal freedom. Same for working under someone else.

Is that autistic friendly? Any autistic friendly jobs you recommend? I don’t have a lot of job experiences so my resume lacks but I have a ton of real life experiences

https://www.indeed.com/q-Writing-l-Honolulu,-HI-jobs.html l find the local people very low key, down to earth, you might be surprised how friendly they are. Sometimes you just got to pick up and leave, it's expensive to live there, but the people and the views are worth it. The pay is lower than mainland salaries. Okay, l am off to sleep.

I don't know what kind of writing you do. But in my experience, it's something that's "tribal" e.g. you have to take the humble pill and learn how to break into the industry. Getting an editorial editor or writing coach on Reedsy might be a big boost to you (look up Reedsy).
