I've been through that, it drove me nuts. For everything I found I could relate to there was something I couldn't. We are so different that it's the only disorder for which the diagnosis can comprise completely different traits from one person to another. You can't compare yourself to someone else with autism. Maybe that's part of what it means when so many people say they don't feel they belong.

I've seen a lot of posts like this lately. You're definitely not alone, if that means anything

I was asked about and talked about a similar thing during my diagnosis. Apparently the "but what if I'm not....?" feeling is extremely common.

You do belong here! You make incredibly valuable contributions to this community. Many thanks.

You know. It is true what they say. Never trust your thoughts after 9pm.

But truthfully. It was a moment of vulnerability I had in my sleepiness. Such doubts don't come as often now as they did before. I KNOW I have undiagnosed autism. Any doubts in this, are lies.

The lack of diagnosis is truly a nightmare in many ways.
