@Misty Avich Not nessissarily. Alot of countrys in the world have people who are traditionalists in marriage and beliefs. It's still rather common.

In this day and age, it could be considered racist/xenophobic. But not for the people who have lived believing a certain way all thier life. Out of tradition and/or religion.
