Reminds me of an actor named Cliff Curtis. He's a Kiwi too, and has been in American television and film for years. On camera he can emulate American dialects. Off camera, he's clearly a Kiwi. I worked with a woman for years who I assumed was American, but in fact she was Danish. Go figure...some people can attain fluency in languages and dialects while most can't.

Her Instagram shows her in native NZ but she and her friends don't talk, just music. Then she lives in Japan and Philippines before coming to NYC to stay again all music.

I still can't over how most of the guys playing soldiers in "Band of Brothers" were British- not even Americans. Most probably had extensive training to learn to talk English with a fluent American accent.

No it's okay. Problems breathing when I was younger. I have a visible scar. Ironically no one except my relatives ever pointed or insulted me over it.

Also NZ friend on Wednesday night hanging she definitely says "car" with a Kiwi accent. Also talking to her more she spent many Christmas in America and other times here growing up so she picked up American dialogue.
