Perhaps because you can understand each other better. If I were to ever have a guy I was friends with here locally, I couldn't imagine them not having either level 1 or possibly 2 autism or else something like social anxiety or something of that nature.

I don't understand what a lot of other girls even like at all about the "cool" popular guys they tend to like so much. Most of them act like jerks. I would much rather hang out with a guy that was more shy, kind, and many even a bit socially awkward because I am socially awkward myself and it makes them more relatable especially if there is at least one shared autistic level special interest topic to discuss.
