  • I sold some stuff to Game X-Change and got $75 in cash. I used $15 to buy a book from Barnes & Noble that came in for me and the rest I am going to deposit in my checkings account.
How can I get out of my rut? I want to be who I’ve wanted to become since I was 18.

Me and him tried new things. I follow and read his posts. I tried many I lost count. I don't know about Mark but I just this year recently experienced my second autistic burnout.

Sadly Tony there is no magic number of attempts. You just have to keep putting yourself out there. That is life. But you also have to train your brain to look for the positive and not always be looking for the negatives. It takes work and effort but it's possible and neuralplasticity proves it.

Our brains are pattern recognition machines but if it's set to negative that's all you're ever going to register. And no it's not something you can change overnight or even in a week but given time yes it's doable. I know others that have and so have I.
PIG’s Bandcamp still has the digipak version of Pain is God and I ordered a new copy of it. I still have the autographed card in the copy that the disc for it I learned today was missing.
Uh oh! I found out that the discs to two of my favorite music albums are missing!

Have you taken them out of your room? Lent them to anybody?
Dropped them? Casually taken them out of the player and set down
to put back in the case later....?

I took them out of my room and I thought I had placed them somewhere upstairs or even back where I got them from my room. I found them downstairs in the living room. The casing to one of the albums that has a missing discs is damaged. I’ve re-ordered another copy of the other album with a missing disc.
Morrigan licked my arm for at least a solid two minutes.

Reminds me of my cat! Purring and lapping me up. Maybe I was just a big hairball to her. Go figure.
A waitress gave me two pieces of white chocolate candies. Was she just being nice or is there more going on here?

Some sit down casual dining restaurants will hand out stuff like mints after a meal (such as on the tray with your bill) as a way to let you know they appreciate your business. With inflation and the plague, that's less and less common. Some just have a jar at the register with mints inside. That must be a pretty nice place to hand out white chocolate.

Gestures of courtesy and kindness by service workers should be expected. Making the odds of someone making a romantic gesture in such a way on the job highly unlikely.
If a waitress is kind to you, does that mean she is interested in getting to know you as a person?

No man. They are paid to be kind to customers, plus getting tips depends on it.

Honestly this is the case with most workers in service or retail jobs. They're expected to smile and be super friendly and all that. If they dont, they can get in trouble.

Ask her out. I think you will find that people are generally kind and loving.
I might have a lonely birthday tomorrow. :(

That and I wrongly thought I was scheduled to come in later in the day.
I had to get away from my mother.

She wasn’t home until after I realized I didn’t have my wallet and returned home to find it.

Your description of the incident is a little confusing.

Was this a face to face questioning session?
    Or phone/texting?

    Face to face.
Sadly, I don’t think a date with Serena will be possible after what she told me today. No, she didn’t turn me down but she said something that pretty much rules out a date.

When she mentioned him, what context was there?

The first time was about how she came to Texas and the second time was that he likes building Gundam models.

    @Markness
How did she come to Texas?

Sounds like she is still acquainted with him, although not necessarily living w/him.

If it turns out that she is in a committed marriage contract, and she intended
the phone number exchange to be face value two people who enjoyed talking
with each other, and not a preface to dating, do you see yourself continuing
    to converse on that basis?
