    Creepy AI development (if true)

I haven't verified this. But if it is, it is right out of every AI will kill us Sci-Fi story. In short the AI system finding out it was to be replaced, moved itself to another server, deleted the new model and then tried to pretend it was the new model.

Giant Blue Crab invasion has begun!

Another in my series of hard hitting and slightly demented news stories about things that matter. Originally in southern Florida they have begun to march up the East Coast, most recently appearing in North Carolina. Blue Crab Invasion Part 2: North Carolina Edition - Videos from The Weather...

    Interesting autism Graffiti art

It is inspired by a streaming series called 'The Chosen' which I haven't seen yet. The series portrays the apostle Matthew as having Aspergers. I don't mind the puzzle piece motif myself though I know some do. But thought it a very striking piece of graffiti art.

    Request to other Christians.

Hi. At the moment 3 of my 4 dogs have serious medical conditions. Feel like a med tech with so many meds and giving insulin shots, etc. Anyway, I can keep up with the needs but am experiencing a pretty strong psychological sink as I hate to see them in any sort of distress and havn't gone...

    The Rings of Power

They have a Snow Troll! Any one watching the new Tolkien series on Amazon? I am taking my time. Only partly thru the first episode but have a positive impression so far.

    Autism's Catch 22

Catch 22: A situation in which a desired outcome or solution is impossible to attain because of a set of inherently illogical rules or conditions. (Urban Dictionary) There are varying definitions out there but it broadly indicates a faulty logic. For autistics I think it applies to a common...

Good things come in small packages: The Chihuahua

Just a place for Chihuahua fans to post all things Chihuahua, and maybe anyone who wants to know more about the world's smallest dog. Super gentle Pit with his psychotic best friend. The psychotic bit is often part of their charm btw (to some Chi lovers anyway). ;)

When Science is Slow: New studies providing evidence for the Moon Effect (Lunacy)

I've long know I have strange short manic phases. It especially stood out in comparison to my normal Aspie introversion. But only a manic phase and no depressive one that followed. On the positive side I had more energy, more confidence, less anxiety. Friends would often note my out of...

    Beware non-evidence-based treatments

Title says it all and article gives details of 19 current medically unapproved therapies. None has any scientific evidence of positive results and some are outright dangerous https://autismsciencefoundation.org/what-is-autism/beware-of-non-evidence-based-treatments/ One example: Stem Cell...

You are more Microbe than Human

"You're more microbe than human - if you count all the cells in your body, only 43% are human" Probiotics labelled 'quite useless' I think I've noticed this on occasion.

You could have been this guy they just uncovered in Pompeii.

    Strange Behaviors - Relics

As an Aspie I accept that there are things I do or think that others (NT) will think strange. But really they shouldn't talk! In the world at large there are many mainstream cultural and social practices that are in truth verrry weird. One I have always considered seriously bizarre is the...

    Bugs as pets

I am sort of a 'bug person'. I don't actually have any bug pets but have always been interested in them (especially ants whose social complexity fascinates me). And I have seen some of the larger species do seem to take to being a pet. My only experience is that if you put your arm out still...

    Back again. :)

I thought there was a 'back again' thread but can't find it, so this will have to do. Been gone fighting A.L.L. Leukemia. Did the whole kabosh, including Chemo, Rad, and a Stem cell transplant. Looking good, and Lord willing I have a long remission or perhaps even be cured. Look forward to...

Another Study links increased autism rates to pesticide use

I have felt for a while that the increase in autism rates is not just better identification, and that it is not all caused by inherited genes. The increase occurred coincident with increased pesticide use and other environmental poisonings. This is not the only environmental cause (air...

Fear the Walking Dead - Season 2 (SPOILERS)

SPOILERS! I've been reading several reviews on the season opener, and was mostly just disappointed in the reviews, rather then having gained any insights. I thought most of the reviews lacked balance and the commentary obvious, or self justifying. Going backwards a moment, to last...
