Does anyone else have trouble understanding accents?

I've always had trouble understanding anybody speaking with more than a slight foreign accent. I was watching Ms. Marvel with the kids tonight and couldn't catch half the dialog. I believe it's a processing problem, similarly I have trouble understanding songs unless I've studied the lyrics...

Any one else prefer hot weather?

Today the heat index is going to be in the hundreds, and although I will be traveling dusty backroads in my jeep that I have yet to repair the ac on; like every other day, I still prefer this to running the heat on sub zero days. The other mail carriers and my wife think I'm crazy. How do you feel?
