Worrying results of fasting blood tests.

I have evidence to support that there is no such thing as "high cholesterols. Mine at the moment are ok so says the dr, which actually means they were quite low and guess what? I have health issues and yet, when they are considered too high, I am ok. A friend of mine who has severe diabetes and...

    Do you dislike children?

Even when a child, I did not get on with children and so, no I do not like children. They are cruel and blunt, which for a sensitive female, is a bad mix. HOWEVER, I would never be cruel to a child and certainly would stand by one if hurt in anyway. And I admit it, when speaking to mothers, I...

    Idiots R Us...

Well, thankfully I am not an idiot then, because I do not have autism. I have Asperger's which is a spectrum of autism. :p

    Health anxiety has kicked in

I had two blood tests in the space of just over a week and sadly, my liver enzymes are hugely elevated in that space of time, which is panicking me. I was tested by my psychiatrist due to anti anxiety tabs I WAS taking. I had recent blood tests come back from my new dr to show that my blood...

How to navigate an ND-related work situatiin

I am responding, despite being no expert myself. Can you detect how the parents feel when you say it is ok. Do they frown? Offer up and objection? Do they know that you yourself are on the spectrum? Parents hate to see a "defect" in their child, because that child is a shadow of themselves...

    Adulting

I do adult things ie responsibilities, but do not feel like an adult, despite my age saying I am. Personally, though, who cares, as long as the adult part is doing what has to be done? I had to be an adult early, due to being forced or gaslit into taking care of my gran when I was 17. But...

    Issues with Antidepressants

One of my favorite subjects! I was put on Prozac due to excess crying and I was so naive; just accepted it, but it did not take long for me to put on a huge amount of weight and throughout the years, the doze was increased, until I sensed that it was wrong for my health and tried to come off...

Difficult to say, but here goes!

Unable to even go as far as those goals. I used to try and push myself and was utterly miserable.

Difficult to say, but here goes!

I guess it is social anxiety. But I discovered it is also agoraphobia.

Difficult to say, but here goes!

Oops, yes. I can actually drive an automatic and do not basics of manual, but due to not being able to multitask, automatic is best and did take a few free lessons and was told I had the ability to be a good driver. But, the type of car available is way too expensive.

Difficult to say, but here goes!

I cannot say, I am sad for you, because in fact, it is a great comfort to me that I am not alone in this. In truth, I would fair better in my birth country, but due to where I live, it is just so hard for me, because even familiar areas, are foreign to me. Just seen a dr and waiting in that...

Difficult to say, but here goes!

I feel so ashamed, that as an adult, I can not go out about ON MY OWN. I feel like a lost child and it especially happens when I am around ones I know, but feel uncomfortable around. I also feel incredibly lonely with being the only one I know, who does not have a license. It truly embarrasses me.

    Escape Rooms

Used to play them a lot and enjoyed them so much, but got a bit tedious and boring, so quit. Now, I hover from 3 match tiles and a merge game.

how can i be less rude to someone i disagree with fully

I am working on this with my husband. Others, I tend to be very polite too lol and so, even if I feel wound up with their ridiculous utterings, I keep it to myself, as I am not a very good arguer ie get tongue tied, when under pressure. My poor husband is different though, but I do not take...

    Different kinds of social difficulties

Just come home from a social gathering. A celebration of a couple of have been married for 60 years and now home, feel exhausted. I am a friendly person, but there comes a point, when my smile is wobbly and then false and that is the time, to get away.

If you were honest with yourselves, how many of you hate having this condition?

Never think of that aspect, because of late diagnosis and thus, just trying to negotiate my life around dealing with it. I don't however, see that I have autism; but Asperger's syndrome, because that is what I was diagnosed with. What I wish truly I did not have was social anxiety and...

    Oh, this is brilliant.

Been reading really bad side effect with ozempic ( all over the news with rich and famous one using it). I too have a biggish belly, but it has gone down a lot. For me, I sense it is digestive issues etc. In truth, losing weight fast is really bad news for the over all body, as it sends it...

    Is Anyone Completely Non-verbal?

I would love to speak, as I feel guilty for not and in fact, the silence is too loud for me, which is why I end up trying to speak. Diagnosis helps me to understand what is going on with me.

    Is Anyone Completely Non-verbal?

Not a straight forward question. I can be very talkative, but when around people who I feel insecure around, I do not say a single word and that could go on for hours. I have tried to speak, but other ignored or not heard and I guess it is due to me squeaking out a word. I am known and the...

Hello, I want to ask for advice

I joined this forum as a self diagnosed aspie and it was and is the only forum where I feel at home with. The first point that struck me was the language. I am known to teach others new words ( except, I am a terrible speller, so rarely can spell these words floating in my head) and anyway, I...
