    '80s hard rock/metal poll!

'80's rock and hair bands keep me movin' and groovin' while driving. My favorite decade of music. Probably because it was the decade of my twenties and that was the age, I had the most fun. Foreigner Styx Def Leppard Bon Jovi Queen Guns N Roses Aerosmith Journey ZZ Top Leonard Skinner Tom...

    Chocolate poll.

Not a big chocolate fan. I do like Dark chocolate occasionally. Ghirardelli is favorite for chocolate bars. I buy Russell Stover Cremes with no caramels and Dark chocolate cherry cordials when in season. Those are the only chocolate candies I like.

    Hi All

Hi and welcome! I was diagnosed at the same age as you. I'm 68 now. It was an "aha" moment which probably would never have happened if I hadn't had a knowledgeable grief counselor after the death of my mother. Found this forum immediately after and check in most every day. It is a great place...

Seeing a Cardiologist For The First Time

Being a professor sounds very interesting. Biology is a great subject. Medical arts and sciences were always my favorite areas of study. Wish you well with your cardiology outcomes. Nothing serious, I hope. Good luck!

    Being bullied

I tried some socializing with other kids in grade school and always got made fun of. Home schooled through high school and being alone became natural. I enjoyed my greenhouse, gardening and animals. By the time I went to college, it didn't really matter that I had no friends. The few I would...

A Journey of Discovery: Seeking Connection and Sharing My Story

Hi and Welcome Thorne. Checking on the new posts tonight, I was immediately drawn to your icon pic. I'm very much into spirituality and could "feel" you were someone that shared this in common. Look forward to connecting with you here on the forum. I'm a senior Aspie that didn't know anything...

    So bad it’s amazing!

I haven't seen any of the movies listed so far. It's got to be good to be bad. Meaning well written, a plot and good FX. A few that come to mind I have seen that I would call bad: The Thing Blair Witch Children of the Corn movies

    I was on the news!

That is a great concept, God's Pantry. And to be helping there is wonderful. You have a little bit of everything, not just food. I used a food pantry in 2009 for several months while going through cancer treatments. There is much need for places such as this. 🫶

    ASD and Clumsiness

I had difficulty learning to ride a bike and tie shoes when I first started as a kid. Parents wanted me to try other things they did like roller skating or ice skating. No way, I wouldn't even try. I didn't like any type of sports in school. Tried baseball but never could hit or catch and...

What did you do that lifted your mood today?

Went to Amazon Music and played a mix of some of the old songs I enjoyed very much when I was a teenager. Neil Diamond, John Denver, Barry Manilow, Engelbert Humperdinck. I always sang along with their albums back then while rocking in a rocking chair. It calmed me. Tonight, I felt nostalgic...

    Sad movies poll.

The Green Mile is one of my all -time favorites. Somewhere in Time also brings tears at the end. I don't know if people consider it a sad movie or not since the couple is reunited at the end, but only through death.

What was the last TV show you watched?

Just a random movie tonight called State of Play. Starring Russell Crowe. Crime, politics and mystery.

What did you do that lifted your mood today?

I was sitting in the car on a parking lot with the radio playing when the space capsule was coming over. They said look to the NW, and you should be able to see it from the Florida west coast where I was at. The sky was clear blue, but I didn't see it.

What did you do that lifted your mood today?

Went to a restaurant with my house companion for St. Patrick's Day corned beef and cabbage dinner. There were very few people in the restaurant. Then stopped on the way home and bought two pints of fresh Florida strawberries and made shortcakes dessert.
