1,001 Ways To Spend A Rainy Day - I Need Your Help!

I'm making a list book called 1,001 Ways To Spend A Rainy Day, and it is inspired by the works of Barbara Ann Kipfer such as 14,000 Things To Be Happy About. It shows you the many ways to spend a rainy day, from games to activities to how to spend it and much more.

However, my book won't be complete without your help! In the comments below I would like each and every one of you to list down the ways of spending a rainy day. It can be any kind of way to spend a rainy day you want: games, activities, recipes, pastimes or any other kind of thing you fancy doing. You can either use one suggestion or as many suggestions as you like. However, they must include things kids can do with parents too.

I wanted to write this book because I love the works of Barbara Ann Kipfer, and all the things included in her book long list make for good story ideas, don't you think? All her books released for Kindle are good too. I've always wanted to make books that mirror her way of listing down all the things that are good in life, and that's why I'm talking to you guys.

So, what are the most fun, cosy, gentle, comforting, kind, happy, useful ways to spend a rainy day? It can be with loved ones or by yourself.

Since you are patterning it after another person's book, make sure you are following copyright regulations.

Rainy day activities I like: painting, watching a movie or tv show binge, reading, cooking, lounging in bed with a partner, cleaning/organizing the home, checking out this site / ebay / Reddit.

It barely ever rains where I live so I’m a little rusty on the rainy day activities.

1. Get a bunch of glasses. Put varying amounts of water in each one. Grab a pencil and give a tiny concert by tapping on the glasses.

2. Save a bone from dinner (spare rib bones work best). Clean it thoughly with dishsoap (to remove grease). Hold the bone over a match or candle to deposit black carbon on the bone (don't burn the bone. Just let the smoke add a dark deposit). Use a pointed nail to scratch hearts, flowers, vines, your name, somebody else's name, or a whaling ship. When done, rub the carbon off the bone's surface and into the scratched lines.

I have a lot of these. Where I live, it's not so much the rain, it's the months of very cold weather...

Stand or sit on the porch and watch it or in warm weather go walking in it or dance out in it. OK! OK! I know. I've already heard that I'm crazy, but you did ask.🤣
