From experience buying for a cat is a big gamble as he or she may or may not show the slightest interest in gifts. For instance I've bought my cat toys in the past, but she'd much rather chase blowing leaves outside during the autumn and play with the large hanging leaves from a nearby plant. I bought her a nice scratching post which she won't touch even if you put catnip on it (only around 50% of cats react to catnip), instead she prefers to use outside door mats. She has a really nice cat bed which she is afraid of and won't go anywhere near no matter what I've tried, instead she'd rather sleep in varying spots around my home, she will choose a spot and this will last for a week or two and then she will move on, for instance for a while she slept on the settee, but now she sleeps in the bedroom, I have to be careful not to leave any wanted clothing around as otherwise she will sometimes take to it, but I have managed to get her to sleep on old clothing instead. Even food treats that you'd expect a cat to go crazy for are often rejected in favour of her normal food, I do sometimes find special treats that she'll eat, but she often gets bored very quickly and what she might have enjoyed once of twice she will often show no interest in any more.
I do like the flower fountain too, but there's no guarantee my cat would go anywhere near it so it could be a complete waste of money, again it would be a big gamble.
PS: A simple window ledge where a cat can see outside can be the best indoor entertainment for your cat, on a television program about cats I heard this referred to as "Cat TV" and it is true, my cat can spend many hours fully occupied in the window while showing no interest in many toys. Obviously your cat also needs exercise which is easy if your cat also enjoys going out.
