You may know I have 2 horses that are my obsession and everything is about them. This winter I was looking for help, my horses are very attached to each other and when I take one out the other one goes crazy. My mare has some medical issues and I don't want her to run around in panic, for her health's sake. So, I needed someone that would work with mare beside us while I work with my problematic pony.
I found a girl online and she came. She started working with mare, came about 20 times in 3 months. Now she didn't come in 2 months. She explained why she couldn't come in May and said she has one week holidays in start of June and will come then. She didn't. She didn't even apologize or explain. I only see her posts on facebook about going to sea, reading, hiking with her dog, etc.
It was already hard to be friends, like she was often late for 10 or 20 minutes, and I get very anxious because of that. She was messing up my plans and routine. She also kept going on about the same things, her divorsion. I tried to be simphatetic, but I don't know how well I did. But I thought it was unusual for neurotypical to keep saying the same things over and over again, she was always complaining about her life. It was tiring for me, I didn't want to listen about her problems, that's not why she was here. But I managed through it anyway.
She was good with horses, especially for a beginner, she listened and obeyed, asked about horsey things. We also went to see the new horse rescue nearby. I got used to her. That are the good things.
But then again she wouldn't read, learn or do any homework I sent her. She wouldn't do her own research about horses and that's very important? She said she has slow internet so it's nearly impossible to find anything. But she didn't even read the booklets I gave her. That's another thing why I want her to come again. I want my booklets back.
So the question is: What should I do? Call her and ask when she's coming again? Find someone else? It's quite hard to find people that would come regularly here and I really need someone to help me with horses.
