A Journey of Discovery: Seeking Connection and Sharing My Story

Thorne Calder

New Member
Hello, everyone!

My name is Thorne Calder, and I’m really excited to be here and to connect with all of you. I’m 37 years old, and I’m on the autism spectrum. It’s been a journey of self-discovery, learning, and growth, and I’m always eager to connect with others who have similar experiences or unique perspectives to share.

A little about me—I’m an author and a mystic, and much of my work revolves around spirituality, self-discovery, and understanding the deeper truths of existence. I’m also incredibly passionate about music and singing. Music has always been a way for me to express my emotions, connect with my soul, and connect with others. There’s something so sacred about the power of sound and voice, and I love exploring it in my creative work.

I’m also madly in love with the Sacred Feminine, the divine aspect of the feminine energy that flows through all things. For me, this energy represents love, creation, healing, and transformation. It’s a powerful force that has guided and inspired much of my journey. The connection to the Sacred Feminine has been such an important part of my life, and I’m always excited to explore that connection more deeply and share it with others.

I’m here to make new friends and connections, learn from others, and contribute to a community that values understanding, kindness, and growth. If any of you are into writing, music, or exploring spiritual themes, I’d love to connect with you. It’s so meaningful to find like-minded people who are open to deep conversations and genuine connections.

Thank you for reading my introduction—I’m really looking forward to getting to know all of you!

With love and warmth,
Thorne Calder

Thank you so much for the warm welcome! I absolutely love the quote you shared by William Blake. It speaks to the beauty of perception and how deeply personal and transformative experiences can be. To one person, a simple tree might just be something they pass by without much thought, but to another, it can be a source of profound joy, connection, and wonder. I think it’s a beautiful reminder that we all see the world through different lenses, and that’s where the magic lies—seeing the sacred in the simple and finding meaning in the things that others may overlook.

This quote resonates with me deeply, as I believe that every soul has a unique perspective, and those perspectives are where true beauty and understanding unfold. Thank you again for sharing such a powerful thought. It’s a beautiful way to start my journey here.

Glad to have you with us, @Thorne Calder

I follow my own path with spiritual belief. That things do ebb and flow. That there is a meaning in everything. And on some level there is a flow that invisably guides each one of us. I can feel it in everything around me. We have our own purposes. And have previous lives we've lived.

And yeah. Music does have quite a power to it. I've spent time watching videos that talk about leitmotif and music cords that can present different emotions. It's something that is felt on a much deeper level, when you know to look for it. I am not a musician myself. But the idea behind it, is fascinating to me.

Other than that. I draw. Drawing helps alot with expressing buried perceptions and feelings. At least for me. I alway like to see the art of others. Because I get to know a piece of the artist, through what they do.

But enough about me.

I hope you enjoy your time here with us. We are most definitely a friendly community. A haven from the stresses of the NT(neurotypical) world.

Hi Thorne, welcome to the forum.

I'm an older and fairly irreverent Aussie with a strong love of nature who spent a few years living in the bush and getting in touch with my animal side, returning to civilisation has had it's own challenges.

Hi and Welcome Thorne.

Checking on the new posts tonight, I was immediately drawn to your icon pic.
I'm very much into spirituality and could "feel" you were someone that shared this in common.
Look forward to connecting with you here on the forum. I'm a senior Aspie that didn't know anything about being on the spectrum until I was in my 50's.

I love nature and very connected with animals. Especially birds. 🐦‍⬛
