Utterly obssessed/uninterested
Well, as many of you know, it's time to start packing and moving with the family, or just interacting more with them. And that's how this terror story begins.
The day begins with nausea from all the cooking everybody does, added to all the odors from the pine tree and the humans passing by.
It continues with labors for putting lights or cleaning the mess your cousins made in your room while you weren't looking. This is the worst, having to order by color again, and then having to explain to them why you did so.
And now, the presents. But...wait...another human ritual? Was I supposed to smile even though I didn't like it? (ha, sorry mom, I didn't realize) How do I know what the other person wants without asking? And how do I know if they aren't Zen like me?
Now it is time for dinner! Everybody gathered, some of the kids coughing on the food (yuck!) and your close family making a toast. Now it's time for you to speak some words. Wait! you didn't tell me I was supposed to say anything! I didn't plan!
After excusing you, the dinner starts. Now, nobody can bother, everybody should be eating, not seeing or whispering, meaning" *peace*". When the casseroles open, and there it is...orange, spongy, bad-smelling turkey. When will this day end?
And then, it's time for the kids to sleep, because *Santa* is about to come, and they have to be in the bed. You excuse yourself and say that you are tired and that you need to sleep. But in fact you go directly to the video games.
Your mother catches you. As always. But then you think, "Hey! It could have been worse."
