A Story Of My Recent Experiences To Inspire Others And Create Conversation

Whilst delivering on my promise to involve myself in other peoples threads a bit more (time permitting) I thought I'd post this experience/story to perhaps inspire other aspies (especially guys) that although you may not get anything close to the full she-bang, suprises are still out there to inspire and partially fulfill.

So basically I made friends with this guy during a 3 day job I was doing with him (here’s the embarrassing part) adwalking with a giant sandwich board strapped to our backs pacing up and down the streets promoting a store re-eopening and occasionally being honked at, photographed and flipped the birdie and called a wanker etc. We seemed to get on pretty well (even though he and the other friends I’d later make were only 17-18 whilst I’m 27) and despite the fact he and they are all much more sociable than me. I was surprised to actually be invited around his house on the evening of the final day at work, and with a few of his friends that I’d already met no less. It wasn’t a bad time and felt somewhat odd having ‘lads conversations’ (not too hard to imagine what that means) given that I would never have engaged in such conversation at that age (or before the last few years) and oddly enough I had some stories to apparently impress them with (and not just ‘lads conversation’ fortunately).
So anyway I thought it was all gonna end there because after sending a couple of texts and initially getting one response, all had then gone quiet so I just assumed it was a one off and moved on. I got an invite very recently however (from one of the friends of my friend no less, to what I assumed was a small guy gathering but actually turned out to be a party with many girls that had already came into the party a bit tipsy). I’d been to a few parties before (years ago now) but this was the first where I was getting fairly involved with the activities and the banter aswell (though not without noticeable limitations still) and it actually ended up going down pretty well, some of the details are slightly x-rated (nothing too crazy but I’ll leave the details out) and I did do something (which was video recorded and made me a hero to the guys and somewhat freaked out all the girls in the garden at the time) as well as some funny one-liners and comments which got many laughing, but I’m generally happy that I never had any expectations (and yet still there was some pretty good first-time female interaction) my aspie gullibility didn’t seem active (so I accepted that things said and done by others were not to be taken too seriously) and despite having a couple of opportunities I didn’t overstep my bound by trying to get too (ahem) hands on with any of the girls (the only main one I sort of did was plenty impressed with my genuine compliments and restraint). I didn’t even give into peer pressure to do anything to one particular girl nor to let one of the guys (who only had a provisional license) drive my car to the nearby petrol station (despite him and two girls putting up resistance), ok so one of the girls cushioned in the back didn’t have her seatbelt on, but they accused me of driving a bit like a granny so I think it’s fair to say I wasn’t doing any speed or driving to impress (as they did all like my car and it’s implied speed). As mentioned before, there were perceivable limitations which I’d be skeptical I could ever actually overcome (i.e general conversation or joking around with the guys and girls in a party-goers kinda way) but I came out of it with the person who invited me texting me the next day to tell me that they liked me. I don’t expect any personal invitations from any of the girls or anything but that to me was a fair success (consider I’ll probably be invited again) for someone who never went to parties or conversed (and more) with girls at parities. In many (though not all ways) much of my mind is that of a 13-18yr old, so in many ways I can feel right at home with them.
