ADOS 4 assessment

Hi, I'm undergoing assessment for ASD in male adult.
Just been for a 3 hour Q&A assessment now been told i have to go back for a task assessment too.
I'm assuming this will be the ADOS 4 from what i have read.
I've seen brief references to this test, can anyone help with more detail about it's content/tasks.
What are they looking for in completing these tasks and what is the correct way to
do them?
Any help and info much appreciated to give me some advance help

There is no right way, just don't worry. Be yourself, I did mine a couple of days ago.

I don't think you are meant to really prepare, unless you don't want an accurate assessment. As Steph said, just be yourself. When I was assessed, I had no idea what I was getting in to. I still don't quite get what it is they were looking for, I thought the tests, exercises and tasks were rather odd.

But obviously I failed, or passed, which ever way you want to view it. They diagnosed me as an Aspie.

There are more questions, about emotion and relationships and interests, tasks like making up a story with a few random items, miming brushing your teeth and telling a story from a picture book... the 'right way to do it' is however you are naturally inclined to do it. That's how they diagnose you...

My assessment had me miming brushing my teeth, including putting toothpaste on the brush and rinsing my mouth afterwards.
I have no idea what that was about. I also had to make up a story from a bunch of random items given me.

I laso had to look at a picture book (probably aimed at 5 year olds) and say what I saw in the pictures. It was weird.

As On the Inside said I don't know whether I passed or failed but whatever they diagnosed me as an Aspie.
