Today my garage was broken into and my adapted bike was stolen. This makes me worry about people getting in or others being stollen. What if they were to get into the house? I am I weird to fear this.

Here’s some pictures. It is a very cool thingBeing afraid is a sign of sanity. Sometimes there are ez things that can help keep you safer. Im sorry you lost your adapted bike, those things are hard to build. It sounds pretty unique, do you have a picture?
We do have house insurance which covers the garage. Can’t get over people who steal disability aid. Their was both my sisters and my old wheelchairs in the garage but they were both left at least.I'm permanent panic so I've got to see it happening or hear it to really really panic, I had my rollator(wheeled walker) stolen ,do you have insurance that covers the garage? is the insurance up to date?if you do! start searching for the price it would be to buy it now!!!!! ,have you touched the garage at all?the insurance companies are not honourable.
After people getting wheelchairs stolen no not shocked ,an old lady in South London got her government food parcel stolen the first week they were delivered, she had to eat what was in the rubbish bin for a week, she'd locked herself in,I was speechless. We do have house insurance which covers the garage. I’m sorry to hear. Their is some really sucky people out their. My sisters car got it’s back window smashed. She’s a Paediatric OT and has a tool box in her car. They had opened the first layer but not took anything presumably since that layer was play dough and stickers. Her Dobble game and zones of regulation book was gone so maybe theirs some emotionally regulated thieves somewhere. That rarely happens. So happy to hear this. It does look cool. Maybe it's a hassle to bring in but at least you know it's there. My car has been vandalized and l have been upset but not much l can do about it.
It is my favourite thing and one of my most used possessions. At one point it was main Mobility aid but now I need to use my wheelchair and power attachment more. That rarely happens. Sadly I completely believe that. One of the food banks in the network I use to volunteer at got a load of food parcels robbed. After people getting wheelchairs stolen no not shocked ,an old lady in South London got her government food parcel stolen the first week they were delivered, she had to eat what was in the rubbish bin for a week, she'd locked herself in,I was speechless.
True. Police have been informed, burglary is scary, you have people intrude into your personal space! They could return for more, so you need to report it and think how to improve security/surveillance.
We are getting some extra security. The garage is being rebuilt soon anyway. It's very natural to feel this, sorry this has happened to you. I expect you reported it to the police?
Garages and sheds are easier to get into than homes normally, plus stealing from them is a lesser offence than breaking into a home that is occupied, which in any case isn't easy hopefully.
If you are worried, think about additional security measures, get advice about this. An automatic garage light that lights up the drive can be a useful deterrent.
I’m happy to answer any questions I know the answer to.Way to keep it positive, emotionally regulated thieves, thats fantastic. I hope this doesnt sound selfish but i want t learn about the bike, machines fascinate me
